A MACHINE Is ONLY AS GOOD AS ITS NOZZLE

As machines are evolving so fast literally! Hi speed, bigger volumes, multi colours, etc. we often overlook the huge leaps and developments in accessories and consumables. For most (especially when starting out in fdm) we look for the cheapest option that will work with our machine. We then learn as we go hearing what fellow users are using and start are investigation journey. So what makes Bondtech next level nozzles?

SO WHAT’S THE DIFFENCE ON USING CHEAP/CLONE COPIES?

In most cases huge amounts of hours are spent in design, testing more testing a little more design. All before running production of mass quantities. In this case the OEM company’s uses high quality tooling and is usually very precise.

HOW CAN IT MAKE MUCH DIFFERENCE?

After the new product is released, not long after, what we start to see are copies and clones. Usually a company will reverse engineer and then mass produce at a cheaper stand point. The issue hear is they are usually sub quality and less accurate. You might be thinking, ahh but it’s just a nozzle or just a extruder! This is true and it may be that there good enough for your needs. But the truth is the more expensive nozzle are expensive for a reason. Many of the clone company’s use lower grade materials and lower quality plating etc. This all plays a role in durability and heat transfer.

CHEAP CLONE NOZZLE

On a mass produced clone nozzle the internals is we’re it’s at, what matters! Not the nice shiny external! Yes we all like a nice shiny blingy new nozzle but what’s on the inside is the hero. On a lot of the cheap nozzles and clones, the internals are somewhat rough and the bore diameters aren’t perfect. This can cause a number of issues when trying to push melting plastic. Clogs, uneven distribution and back pressure issues. This is where a good hi grade nozzle comes into play. (the same goes for accessories which I hope to discuss in a different article in the future).

WHAT MAKES BONDTECH DIFFERENT?

Over many years bondtech have developed and refined there products. They have grown as a global name with a great outlook on what they do.

Born in Sweden as a pioneer in 3D printing. Bondtech has become a worldwide sensation by creating the unique dual drive extruders. Other filament 3D printing technologies that thousands of makers and other professionals use to express themselves or to create solutions and products with 3D printers.

They don’t claim to be 3D printer creators just yet more solutions and upgrades for existing machines.

The great thing about Bondtech is they listen to the 3D community. They monitor different areas while listening to issues users are having. They then set to finding solutions to issues. Developing products that work plain and simple. With a great partnership with 3D SOLEX (BASED IN NORWAY) 3D SOLEX are well known for there high quality nozzles, it’s no wonder Bondtech’s nozzles are so good.

BONDTECH CHT

The newest range from Bondtech are their CHT line. These cater for most key nozzle styles, M6 RepRap MK8 even bi metals for abrasive and fibre materials.

BONDTECH NEXT LEVEL CHT NOZZLES

If you’re thinking if I do the nozzle, I may as well do the hotend and the extruder, then Bondtech have your back.

They also produce amazing extruders and hotends.
