As some of you may have heard from the fb group and are livestream a lot of my time has been spent working in the background. You may think that means?
numerous talks with producers for group discounts etc. This is true to a point but it’s only a fraction of it. I also assist in r&d trouble assist and event planning. This brings me to the Reason for this news article.
As often I talk to many producers in all departments it just so happened this time, I was speaking to a contact at YOUSU. I’d been having an idea on a new resin for quite some time and finally decided to explain my idea for a new resin. I turned out he had had similar thoughts. Hearing this I was over joyed at the thought we could collaborate on the idea that was in my thoughts so much.

Why would I decide to share my plan with YOUSU out of all the company’s you ask? Good question but it’s very simple. For the longest time under the hotend has used YOUSU products and they have never stopped to be of outstanding quality. Innovative in their product range and extremely capable to create new lines and ranges.
Their customer services are unrivalled with the likes of Angelina Lyn assisting consumers; she makes all interaction’s an easy pleasurable experience.
The quality of their engineering department is next to none and unrivalled in my opinion thus making YOUSU the perfect company to approach and collaborate with. combine all of the above with their lab and impressive facility’s.

Holding Industry recognition and awards and maintaining regulation and conformity consistently makes them one of the best choices for projects like mine. Their product knowledge and ability to develop new lines in short spaces of time is super impressive.

So, my idea came from my past love of building show cars. I used to use a lot of different products mixed into the lacquer then sprayed onto the vehicle to create different effects such as prisms, chameleon effects and Chrystal’s etc. So, for a long time I was curious of The effect on clear resins. After a lot of explaining we both came to the conclusion it should be possible and my contact decided to test the theory.
A few days passed and I reached out to see how things were progressing. Expecting to hear they were still investigating the idea I was amazed they had already sourced the necessary ingredients and were ready for their arrival.
Following day, I received a message that they had started! I can’t explain my excitement from that message. So over the following days I received picture progress and we communicated on the first tests and the results I think you will agree are pretty jaw dropping

After the excitement of the first test this gave us the confidence to test the other colours we had in mind. To follow came the success of the following 2 more creating a series of success.

After some playing, we decided to run some prints to ensure they were fit for application. We wanted to test it on some models with more details and more complex to print to monitor how they acted.

So impressed we couldn’t stop there we had the bug and needed to print more. As you can see the result seemed to be outstanding and with each print my smile grew larger and larger.

After extensive amounts of fun….. I mean testing we needed to get serious again. Realising we were onto something we quickly decided we had to find this new range a name. YOUSU asked could we name it after me which was so humbling. After a little thought I asked if we could call it UTH (under the hotend) When they read my request, they asked why UTH so I explained because I created under the hotend to help producers and show the community what amazing products were available so this felt fitting.
After I explained they agreed instantly. And we started discussing names for the series. After many ideas were talked about, I thought nebula series.

Now most of you are likely thinking nebula series ummmmmmm why???
Well, the thinking behind it came from an image I came across while looking up space Phnonima. If you search nebula or especially planetary nebula you will be greeted by space images that hold colours that are very similar to those in the resins. We have created radiant and often very beautiful.

Let’s get down to details.
There really isn’t much difference to printing other resins except to receive the effect you desire in the Finnish. So, you wash and cure the same as any other resin this will leave a matte effect.

To gain a nice shiny translucent finish simply wash cure and brush a coat of clear resin on this also increases the dual colour effect and gives an increasable finish I think you will agree.

I can’t wait to see some of the amazing prints the community create with this line and hope to be able to share some on Under the hotend on are Facebook group and on are website and on YOUSU Facebook group.

  1. It抯 really a great and useful piece of information. I am glad that you simply shared this useful information with us. Please stay us up to date like this. Thank you for sharing.

  2. great points altogether, you just gained a brand new reader. What would you suggest in regards to your post that you made a few days ago? Any positive?

    1. The nebular works great add a light behind a clear coated print creates some incredible results
